Training

REL has specific training modules and programs for its people. REL has setup a training division at the manufacturing facility for the artisans and its officials. The administration and marketing officials undergo regular training programs at the corporate office. The training programs emphasize on the required skill sets and also towards maintaining the culture of the company.

At the manufacturing facility new artisans undergo training programs in their respective fields of activity for a minimum period of four weeks before starting work. The training programs are developed based on the work to be executed by the artisan and are conducted by experts in the respective fields of activity. The training programs include both theory and practical aspects of jewellery manufacturing, right from mining of gold up to the retailing of jewellery, which enables the worker to gain a global perspective about the product he manufactures.

In the practical training program workers are trained for executing specific manufacturing process specializations with emphasis on finishing aspects, wastage reduction methods and the latest technologies available with the company. Apart from training new recruits, there are regular training programs for the existing artisans to help them in developing precision and to train on newly emerging technologies.

The officials at the manufacturing facility attend regular training programs conducted by the Human Resource Professionals to develop management and inter personal skills. The officials are also trained on handling of gold and various aspects of jewellery making.

The administrative and treasury officials undergo a regular training programme to increase efficiency in their respective fields. The treasury officials are specifically trained to manage hedging operations and risk mitigation.

The marketing officials are trained on relationship management and global marketing practices. The marketing officials are also trained on the product details including training at the manufacturing facility.
